  • Tane Kim (he/him)

    Co-Editor-in-Chief

    is a 16-year old attending Irvington High School in the suburbs of New York. He co-founded The Stirling as a platform to amplify marginalized and misrepresented groups in writing, as well as to create an all-reaching youth art and writing magazine. He primarily writes poetry, and his work has been recognized by The New York Times Editorial Contest, The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, and The Poetry Society, among others.

  • Michael Liu (he/him)

    Co-Editor-In-Chief

    is a junior in high school living in Naperville. He co-founded the Stirling Review in the summer of 2022 after attending the Sewanee Young Writers’ conference, in order to give a voice to young writers like himself. His poetry has been recognized by The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, and the Daphne Review, among others. In his free time, he listens to Spotify.

  • Hayden Oh (she/her)

    Creative Writing Manager

    is a poet and a part-time tragedy novelist/short story writer from Denver, Colorado. She is an alumna of the Sewanee Young Writers’ Conference for poetry and is currently pursuing an interest in journalism through her school magazine. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering at the hospital, hiking up in Boulder, and studying 50’s literature.

    is an aspiring writer currently in a gap year working to query their duology Nightwalkers. She hopes to study creative writing next year in England.

  • Elina Tiwari (she/they)

    Social Media Liaison and CW Editor

    is a current junior at The Columbus Academy in Columbus, Ohio. She is a Sewanee Young Writers alumna, and her writing has been recognized by the New York Times, Scholastic Arts and Writing Awards, and local publications. She is a aspiring horror-novelist with a love for anything weird. Outside of writing, Elina enjoys taking pictures of herself, competing for her schools Speech and Debate team, and procrastinating.

  • Elizabeth Raeber (she/her)

    is a senior from Athens, GA. Elizabeth twice attended the Sewanee Young Writers Conference, under both the fantasy and fiction workshops. She enjoys reading, writing, making music and editing in her spare time. Along with her position at the Stirling Review, Elizabeth also serves as Editor in Chief of her school literary magazine. She is currently working on her first novel, as well as a guide for young writers.

  • Holland Tait (she/her)

    Social Media Liaison and CW Editor

    is a student, studying English at Georgia College with a Creative Writing concentration. She has been writing for the better half of her life, and she has been publishing her work for two years now. She has been previously published in Perfumed Pages Magazine, Astrae Zine, and Luphyr Magazine, and she was a featured writer for Humankind Zine, among others. She has also worked on the staff of Underground Zine as a music editor. She thoroughly enjoys reading romance, and she is always willing to give you a book rec!

  • Hadley Timmermann (she/her)

    Creative Writing Editor

    is a freshman at Northwestern University who loves creative writing in her free time. She attended the Sewanee Young Writer’s Conference under the science fiction and fabulism track and is an award-winning monologue writer. She is also a guest author interviewer for deaddarlings.com, a blog on writing craft. When she’s not writing fiction, she loves attending k-pop concerts, traveling, and working at her independent bookstore in Cohasset, Massachusetts. She has been surrounded by books for as long as she can remember.

  • Claudia Jane (she/her)

    Creative Writing Editor

    is a sophomore Creative Writing student in Pittsburgh, PA. Claudia primarily enjoys reading and editing, noted by being the editor for both her high school’s newspaper and university’s. She was also the editor for her university’s undergraduate literary journal, The Critical Point. In the future, she hopes to make her story ideas into video games.

  • Derek Days (he/him)

    Human Resources, Creative Writing Editor

    is a senior at Noble and Greenough in Massachusetts. He dabbles in many different creative writing media, from novels to screenplays. Derek is also an alumnus of the Iowa Young Writers’ Studio, and has been recognized by The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. Besides writing, he enjoys drawing, math, and rowing.

  • Lucy Dillenbeck (she/her)

    Creative Writing Editor

    is a senior hailing from La Grange, Illinois. She is an alum of the Iowa Young Writers’ Studio and her work appears in Potted Purple, the WEIGHT Journal, Flash Fiction Magazine, Cathartic Lit, and Menagerie, among others. When not writing, Lucy can be found wandering aimlessly through art galleries or listening to her favorite albums on vinyl.

    Creative Writing Editor

    is a senior from Los Angeles, California. She is an alumna of the Iowa Young Writers Program for creative writing. At school, she is an editor for the newspaper and the editor in chief for the literary publication. She likes coffee, cats and movies.

  • Akshara Nair (she/her)

    Creative Writing Editor

    is currently a final year student, pursuing BA Honours in Psychology from Ambedkar University, Kashmere Gate, Delhi, India. A writer since the age of 11 and an orator who finds power through her voice; Akshara has set out on a journey to find herself by learning through various experiences and adventures of life and also with the belief in herself and her capabilities. She has represented the student community at national and international level at various panel discussions and sessions. She has and continues to contribute extensively to the field of publication as a writer, compiler, editor, submission reviewer and is actively involved in the field of mental health and psychology.

  • Sadie Benjamin (she/they)

    Creative Writing Editor

    is a high school student from the suburbs of Chicago. When not reading or writing, she can usually be found watching 90s-era sitcoms or playing her guitar, and is never without a cup of hot cocoa or tea nearby. Her work has previously been published in YouthBeHeard magazine, is forthcoming in The Dawn Review and has been recognized multiple times by the Scholastic Art and Writing awards. She is also a 2023 graduate of the Iowa Young Writers’ Studio.

  • William Du (he/him)

    Creative Writing Editor

    is a 3-time Scholastic gold medalist and National Student Poet semifinalist. His poems are in or forthcoming from Crashtest Magazine, Élan Literary Magazine, the Eunoia Review, Teen Ink Magazine, and The Weight Journal. He is an alumni of Iowa Young Writer's Studio and Adroit Journal's mentorship program.

  • Charlotte Murray (she/her)

    Creative Writing Editor

    is a current high school senior based in Evanston, IL. She graduated from the Iowa Young Writers’ Studio in 2023. She mainly writes flash fiction and poetry, but always has at least novel she is avoiding. When not reading or writing she can be found sleeping, drawing, painting, attempting to bake, or talking to her plants.

    is a poet and researcher attending Winstanley College, in the heart of Orrell, whose literary work has been recognized by mpT, Poetry By Heart, Young Writers, and The Poetry Society among others, with featured poetry works in two anthologies.

  • Faith Nwude (she/her)

    Creative Writing Editor

    is a sixteen year old senior in Richmond Hill Georgia. Faith is a member of the Poetry Society of New York, as a published poet, with publications and recognition in Fledge Magazine, underthemadness magazine etc and is the author of "Mine, Hers & Ours", a poetry collecton, in acknowledgement of her childhood in Jamaica, and the experiences that followed. She is also a mentee for WriteGirl, determined to follow in her father's,Uchenna Godson Nwude, footsteps as the second generational author in her family.

  • Max Boyang (he/him)

    is a first-year student at Brown University. He’s a writer, artist, biker, and music enthusiast, and in his free time he loves to bake. Max is also an alumni of the Sewanee Young Writers’ Conference and Kenyon Young Writers’ Workshop, and has been recognized by the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for his literary achievements. He hopes someday he can time travel into the future.

  • Ethan Park (he/him)

    Creative Writing Editor (Inactive)

    is an artist, musician, singer, actor, anime enthusiast, and writer raised in the mountains of North Carolina. He loves creating stories and characters whenever he can”—whether it be in math class or at his desk—and generalizes himself as a “storyteller” over a “writer.” Amongst his passions, he also has a small YouTube channel called Hyunsoh which he mostly sings and plays games on, in the hopes that someone will look and laugh.
